ODBC Connectivity
This allows PC programs, which are ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) compatible, such as Microsoft Access and Excel, to directly access the data files in SSI Software. Using their ODBC interface, these programs can read and,
with proper security, update information in these data files. This tool allows us to take information from SSI data files and define it as if it is in a relational database. This allows you to examine, manipulate, and update information stored in the SSI Software using any number of PC applications.
You can use Microsoft applications such as Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visual Basic to access the information stored in your SSI data files. Some other examples are Lotus Notes, Approach, Lotus 1-2-3, and Crystal Reports.
